On-page and Off-page Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization is a methodology of schemes, performances, and tactics used in order to increase website performance in order to acquire a high position placement in the search results page of a search engine.

There are two types of search engine optimization namely on-page optimization and off-page optimization. But what is the difference between the two?

To clear things out, let’s first talk about the on-page optimization. On-page optimization is the SEO on your actual page or blog or website. It focuses on optimizing the website itself. It indicates that you use unique keywords in your URL, Title, Headline, Page copy, Image ALT tag, and Meta data. Likewise, on-page optimization refers to the features that need to be improved on the website itself in order to make it search-engine friendly.

On-page optimization also focuses on your website content. There is a popular saying that tells us Content is King in which search engines do look for distinctive and frequently updated content. Though, it is always important to scrutinize the visitor involvement, and select informative, first-class content, in favor to a large amount of reduced material. Likewise, your content involves keyword density, internal links, and meta-titles and descriptions.

Now, off-page optimization includes setting up social media accounts like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+ in order to share your posts to interested individuals and allow them to follow you. Likewise, it focuses on link building in order to point back to your site which is also called as a backlink. Some of the off-page SEO methods are blog commenting, web 2.0 properties, forum posting, and guest posting.

To sum everything up, on-page SEO and off-page SEO complement each other. Despite the fact that there is abundant difference between the On-page and off-page SEO, it would be incorrect to think of them as being very dissimilar. As a replacement, you should think that they are both techniques that complement each other.
